The delegate of the Government and the Mayor of Cieza inaugurate the work on improving Canoe Club (13/05/2010)

The State Fund of 2009 has created 154 jobs in Cieza

In 2010 Cieza has 7 projects submitted for an amount of more than 3.8 million euros

The government delegate in the Region of Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, and the Mayor of Cieza, Antonio Tamayo, visited the renovation in the canoeing club funded Cieza Local Investment Fund, 2009.

This action has had a budget of 131,022 euros and has involved the creation of 8 jobs.

Tovar Gonzalez stressed that the works of Cieza Canoe Club have improved sanitation, housing, comfort and aesthetics of the building.

These improvements will allow users of the activities of the School of Canoeing can have modern facilities and quality standards for the practice of this sport.

Cieza running 17 projects under the Local Investment Fund, 2009, for a total of more than 6.1 million euros and a creation of 154 jobs, of which 43 have been newly created and 111 integrated jobs in the successful tenderers.

With regard to the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability, to be held in 2010, the Municipality of Cieza submitted 7 projects for an investment of 3,799,324.85 million euros.

Of these, 6 are of investment in new municipal construction plan to create 53 new jobs and a spending programs of social nature that benefit 1,000 people.

"Cieza In total the Government of Spain receives about 10 million euros in two years: the largest investment in this county by any government in such a short time and that makes clear the municipality of President Zapatero will," said the delegate the Government.

2009 State Fund invests over 30 million in new sports facilities

The Government delegate stressed that the Local Investment Fund 2009 has allowed the significant improvement of sports facilities in the Region of Murcia.

In particular, he recalled, in the region are carrying out 86 projects with an investment of 30,811,419 euros to create 2,129 jobs, of which 1,391 are newly created and 738 of persons within enterprises.

Among the projects cited González Tovar's new Sports Hall of Cieza (2,462,971 euros), the new indoor heated pool Lorca (2,037,551 euros), the new Sports Centre in Cartagena Aljorra (1,696,680 euros) the new Sports Hall at the College Campoamor Sewer (1,364,160 euros) and improvement works Beniel Sports Complex (1 million euros).

He also stressed that thanks to the State Fund to install artificial turf football fields in 22 municipalities for a total of more than 8.6 million euros.

More than 400 million euros over two years for the Region of Murcia

The municipalities of the Region of Murcia has developed 672 projects under the State Fund of 2009, with a total investment of 246.3 million euros and a generation of 13,200 jobs.

In relation to the new Fund, 2010, the consistory of the Region of Murcia has submitted 729 projects, of which 588 and 141 correspond to investment to current expenditure of a social nature.

The total budget of the Autonomous Region amounted to 154.1 million euros, so that in just two years the 45 municipalities have been able to finance activities for a total of 400.5 million euros thanks to two state funds.

"A major effort of the Government of Spain in the Murcia region to stimulate the economy, create jobs and improve our towns and cities in a time of economic difficulty in which the government must be an example of effective management," said the delegate .

González Tovar reported that as of today, the Government of Spain has already paid more than 225 million euros to assume the full amount of 585 works from the State Fund, 2009.

In addition, explained that the municipalities in the region have also received the first 3.5 million from the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability 2010.

With that amount, has made the first payment (85% of the total) for the initiation of 65 projects in this region.
