We Can Cieza: "We do not seem logical or loyal to the general public this rise in wages" From Podemos Cieza, we call this first plenary session of the legislature a joke in bad taste and a disloyalty with the citizens who have elected the c (19/07/2019)

It was already known for days that the current government prepared a generalized rise, both in their salaries, and those of the opposition.

But the plenum in which this rise was perpetrated, we thought a true joke in bad taste.

The opposition to the full gave symptoms, no longer of inexperience that could be expected, but of nullity of preparation of said plenary session.

First, they met just before the plenary to discuss what to do and after more than half an hour, the spokesman of the Popular Party, boasting ignorance of the rules of the plenary called for the annulment of the same.

Obviously, as the secretary informed, a plenary session can not be suspended, you can simply ask for the withdrawal of a point due to lack of information or time to study it.

The point in question was, obviously, that of economic assignments, and once this point was reached, no one asked for withdrawal.

You're sorry

The councilor of Vox, even went so far as to say that "we are going to vote against because first we have to clean the town and once it is clean, we will consider the meaning of our vote".

So, if the town becomes clean on the day of the plenary session, if the salary increase would have seemed right?

Nivelazo

And to end the opposition, we are surprised that a councilor with previous experience as Oscar Verdejo of Citizens compared the compensation received by councilors for assistance with the Minimum Interprofessional Salary.

In short, we hope that the opposition will do its homework better and better prepare its plenary sessions and interventions in the future;

because if those in charge of supervising the government and controlling their possible excesses demonstrate this level, a very placid and smooth term legislature awaits this government, exercising its work with hardly any serious opposition.

From Podemos Cieza we want to show our disagreement with the bulky rise in salaries, both from the government and from the opposition, which do not complain about that, but the opposition will also have an increase similar to that of the government team.

Of course, a politician must charge for his work, but we think that the salaries already agreed in the previous legislature, where Yes was present, were quite worthy and sufficient for the executive of a city like Cieza.

You can accept an update of the IPC as Councilman Martinez-Real said, but do not deceive the public and sell 19% as a CPI update when in the last four years this indicator has been around 0.5%, and this would add a 2 % scarce.

In short, and the numbers illustrate the situation better, by comparing the data of the previous legislature with the newly approved, the councilors released from the legislature of 2015 cost the consistory 177,900 and in this new term will cost 273,400 ?.

Around 100,000 euros more.

Not counting social security, which is paid separately from stipulated salaries.

To continue with the numbers and to see better the increases both Mayor Pascual Lucas or Councilman Paco Saorín (curious case this, that with enough fewer skills also adds 19% to your salary), the 7,000 or 8,000 euros more that they will charge, they suppose an expense superior that the budgets of councils like Museums or Crafts for example, or greater than the helps that receive the majority of associations of the town.

This data is, simply, obscene.

In short, bad start of the legislature, which will have to be on top so you do not miss the path of change started 4 years ago in which Podemos put the first stones to build a better Cieza.
