So far five criminal facts have been clarified

One of those arrested has a record for similar crimes

The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed the operation 'Brotchen', an investigation aimed at clarifying several crimes against the patrimony committed in Cieza, which has culminated with the identification, location and detention of a man and a woman as alleged authors of the crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation and theft with force inside the vehicle.

After the operation, the Benemérita has clarified three crimes of robbery with violence and intimidation and two robberies with force inside vehicles, not ruling out the involvement of those now arrested in more criminal acts.

The operation began last March, when a neighbor of Cieza reported to the Civil Guard that he had been the victim of a robbery with violence and intimidation.

The information provided by the victim shows that it was assaulted by surprise by an individual who grabbed his purse and the mobile phone in his hand.

During the fact both struggled until the assailant managed to give a strong pull and gain the effects.

Finally, the thief fled on foot first and then in a nearby vehicle.

During the development of the operation, the civil guards detected the commission of two more criminal acts, in which the victims denounce a similar modus operandi, stating that a male approaches the victims from behind all women and elderly and after taking a heavy tug on the purse or belongings that they were carrying at that moment took them away and fled on foot to a vehicle that was nearby to speed up the escape.

In these events some of the victims suffered injuries due to the aggressiveness employed by the author.

Thanks to the citizen collaboration and the investigations carried out, the Benemérita managed to establish a very specific physiognomic profile and define the illicit form of action, which allowed to determine that the assailant did not act alone, since while the robbery materialized another person was waiting for him with the vehicle in motion, raising the author in the rear seats of the car and leaving both the place after the commission of the crime at full speed.

The investigators found the vehicle used in the robberies and identified the person who drives it on a regular basis, also coinciding with the physical description obtained from the criminal acts.

The owner of the vehicle was the suspect's partner, so it follows that, while the suspect materialized the robbery, his partner and owner of the vehicle waited for him in the vicinity to facilitate the escape of both.

On the other hand, both suspects have been able to relate to the alleged authorship of several robberies with force inside vehicles, to which they allegedly broke the glass and stole objects from inside, subsequently abandoning the spot on board the tourism identified in the previous thefts.

Once all the necessary evidence has been obtained, the Civil Guard established a search device on the suspects, which has culminated during the last days with its location, detention and subsequent judicial provision as alleged perpetrators of robbery with violence and intimidation and robbery inside vehicles.

The detainees, a man and a woman, Spaniards, 25 years and 36 years of age, neighbors of Cieza and one of them with a history of similar crimes and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Cieza (Murcia).
