The traditional works of the Region of Murcia are as varied and characteristic of this land as the rusticity of their products or the intensity of their flavors.

This diversity of crafts crafts is evident in the Craft Show, the space enabled this weekend by the City Council of Cieza on the Paseo, where the wealth of this heritage of all is exhibited.

The trades it brings together with live demonstrations could disappear due to economic and cultural changes.

However, every day there are more people who value handwork: "We have to recover that leisurely time, that way of doing things," says a neighbor while walking through the sample.

However, every day there are more people who value handwork: "We have to recover that leisurely time, that way of doing things," says a neighbor while walking through the sample.

A leisurely ride, from one end of the Paseo to the other.

Along the way, surprises such as the booth mounted by the Little Museum of Esparto or that of the Department of Crafts.

Here and there, Spartans, weavers, potters and a brewer, some of them exercising their trade as a demonstration.

It is a pity to be in a hurry, because the Handicraft Exhibition must be traveled little by little, with a lot of parsimony and stopping to not lose any detail.

Only then can you learn a little about crafts.

Touring the seventeen stands is an opportunity to check the work in the small workshops and in the family businesses that operate in the Region: Cervetri and Más, Aprila, Caprilac, Apisierra, Bakery of Bárbara, Mielería Obrador de Fran, El Turro, Cerámica Ríos , Vintage Radio, Arcadio / Afemce Bindings, María Esperanza, Calzados Cristina, Martín Lario García, Bolilleras del Segura Association, Etna by Martí, Antonio José, José Bielsa and Pequeños Museo del Esparto.

A lot to choose from.

The booths destined for artisans such as the Antonio Espartero Antonio José, the potter from Lorca, Martín Lario or the Murcian Moroccan, José Bielsa, bring visitors closer to the idea that the Craft Show has of the artisan guild as an incentive for economic development and a proposal for responsible consumption With huge future in the Region.

Expert hands and raw materials are key to the success of his recognized work which, in the case of Bielsa, won the Mercury Prize for handicrafts.

Quality is the main hallmark of this initiative promoted by the municipal area run by Conchi Villa, which stands out alongside the variety of the offer for its ability to adapt to a wide audience with different tastes and interests.

The exhibition will be open to the public this Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

The live demonstrations will continue this Sunday, and as a climax to the day a basket of products donated by the artisans themselves will be raffled.

As an oasis in the commercial heart of Cieza, it is joyful to look into old crafts and admire the fruit of their work.

It is even more joyful to receive the entertainment at the stand dedicated to tasting and tasting food products, attended by the hosts themselves, striving to make the visit to the public more enjoyable in the midst of live demonstrations.

A mischief of Abarán?

A little loaf of bread?

They are products that, despite being a little more expensive, are worth more than they cost.
