The Government of Spain promotes tourism with Cieza's Revitalization Plan Almadenes Gorge

The government delegate in Murcia, Rafael González Tovar, stressed that the Local Investment Fund and the Employment and Sustainability (Plan E) received by the town of Cieza in 2009 and 2010 have resulted in the largest investment in the locality by any previous government, with a total of 9.9 million euros, which in his opinion "makes clear the willingness of President Zapatero municipalist" ..

González Tovar reported that in 2009 were funded 17 projects amounting to EUR 6.1 million which has not only boost activity in sectors such as construction, metal, aggregates or graphic arts, but has also created 154 jobs Direct and has improved some infrastructure and services Cieza who otherwise could not have done in years.

Among the projects include the construction of new sports pavilion at Calle Blas De Otero and Zaraiche Mayor, the integrated action on the balcony of the Wall, a recently opened children's traffic park, the renovation work at the canoeing club Cieza , the soccer field dressing of the Grove, the works in the public schools of St. Bartholomew and Jerome Bels or several actions to improve urban streets and squares of the town.

As for the new State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability 2010, the government delegate stressed that involve a further economic boost for the town of 3,799,323.49 euros.

With them may be financed 7 projects, 6 of them to work and 1 social spending programs.

As a whole is expected to create 53 new jobs and benefit more than 1,000 people in Cieza.

Among these projects, we highlight the construction of a cultural space for youth, improving facilities and infrastructure of the Paseo de Ronda, various measures to improve information technology and communication in municipal buildings, including the implementation of Phase II Service Wireless Internet Access in Public Areas.

The proposed social spending will go to fund a program to support families at risk of exclusion.

The number of agents and improve public safety

Among the actions the Government of Spain in the town of Cieza security, Tovar Gonzalez recalled that in the past six years the staff of civilian guards has increased by 120% to 68 troops over the 31 that had in 2004.

State investment to promote tourism

The Government delegate has also referred to the investment made by the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism through the Tourism Promotion Plan Almadenes Gorge, which has seen a total investment of 4.1 million euros, of which the Government of Spain has contributed a third party, along with two others who have responded to the City and the Autonomous Community.

Among other actions contemplated in Cieza include the construction of a Center Almadenes Canyon and layout of the Cave of the Octopus and Child.
