PSOE: "Four years copay imposed by the PP" (21/04/2016)

In this April 2016 marks four years since the PP Mariano Rajoy imposed the health copayment in Spain.

For this reason the PSOE in Cieza has sent a press release in which he recalls that in imposing the health copayment ended with universal health care in Spain, an achievement that cost a lot of work and effort to achieve.

With this measure, the PP won the pharmaceutical copayment half of pensioners almost 8 million.

In addition they imposed the so-called "medicamentazo" for which more than 400 drugs excluded from public funding.

Actually, what the PP wanted was the dismemberment of the public sector and the privatization of health, undermining equality and seriously injuring many people who have serious difficulties in accessing drugs, establishing differences.

For four years we have been supporting these unfair and regressive measures, which will undoubtedly affect more virulent to the most vulnerable population.

Since the PSOE we have always opted for a public and universal health care where everyone can access on equal terms.

So, it is clear that in recent years have regressed in rights and services as far as health is concerned, and it is no coincidence that since the regional government of the PP is also hindering the development of the amendments adopted budgets and they spend a significant amount of money for the Hospital de Cieza, but the regional government refuses to put to develop these amendments.

Finally, the press release concludes, highlighting the importance of public health and the damage that the PP has done to it, both from the Government of the nation and from the Regional Government.
