The City of Cieza has managed to lower the unemployment rate recorded in 38 people over the previous month, with the figure of 227 more employees in 2017 this month, than in 2016, and 455 more employees compared to 2015. These data respond to employment policies that began to be launched at the beginning of the legislature, based on the "clear commitment" to generate jobs by offering companies and organizations municipal aid from the City Council.

The Department of Employment and Economic Development, along with the actions undertaken by the entire government team from the different portfolios, correspond to the projects carried out to create jobs, and which have led to the increase of employment in all the sectors: agriculture, industry, construction and services.

In addition to the employment plans, this government team is working tirelessly to favor, both the expansion of existing companies and the installation of external companies, which, as in the case of Vidal Golosinas, have come to create wealth and employment for our municipality.

The Mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas said that "these data are very important, as they are the result of employment policies that we put in place to fight against the scourge of unemployment." We are aware that there are still 2655 people unemployed in our city , but these figures in a rare month for the creation of employment are very significant, and clearly respond that the work that is done to combat unemployment gives substantial results for Cieza, because the data that reflects the SEF and that have been collected by the Department of Employment and Economic Development provide us with an average annual data in our town, 333 unemployed less than in 2016 and 559 fewer unemployed compared to 2015 ".

The City of Cieza is taking important steps in employment, since the data extracted from the latest report of the SEF indicates that Cieza is one of the few municipalities in the region that is managing to improve its data, lowering the unemployment rate, while the general results indicate that at the regional level the number of unemployed has risen by 1487 more unemployed.
