Citizens request explanations in Congress for the "secarral" of the Riparian Walk of Cieza (10/02/2018)

● Training requires the Government to clarify the circumstances in which the work was delivered and why the promised vegetation has not been planted and maintained

● "We want to know if the Government considers that the works are finished and if there was an irregular delivery of them to the City Council," says the orange deputy Miguel Garaulet

Ciudadanos has asked for explanations in the Congress of Deputies for the situation of Paseo Ribero de Cieza.

The deputies Miguel Garaulet and Jos Luis Martnez have registered a fortnight of questions to the Government after the project, with a cost of 3,8 million euros, "has made evident and patent their deficiencies in matter of vegetation, what has done that has even been described as 'dry' in the media. "

Citizens has raised this battery of questions to try to clarify the conflict that faces at the expense of both the Cieza City Council, which pays 20% of the works - the rest corresponds to European funds Feder-, and Acuamed, the public company dependent of the Ministry of Agriculture that executes the work.

According to the Consistory, the contract signed in 2015 included the planting of thousands of native trees, but the company has delivered scarce, deficient, inadequate to the environment and dry.

"For its part, the company alleges technical problems, vandalism and a plague of insects, but the real consequence for the ciezanos are empty treeholes where it was sold to drum and cymbal that was going to have a deep environmental regeneration," said Garaulet.

Citizens now want to know if the promised trees were planted in the quantity and variety that collected the technical memory and if they were native species and suitable for the environment of the Segura.

He also asks for explanations about whether the plants were delivered dry or dried out due to lack of conservation work.

"We are interested in knowing if the Government considers that the works were really finished or if they were delivered unilaterally to the City Council through a simple act in which it was assured that they were finished.

In this sense, we are shocked that an official inauguration of the Paseo Ribereo was never held, when it was the PP's star project in the town, "said the orange deputy.
