The Government delegate, Rafael González Tovar, today reported that the Cabinet gave its approval at its meeting this week, the emergency works to repair and refurbishment of the driving flow of supplies to irrigate Ascoy , Benis and Carrasquilla of Cieza, in the province of Murcia.
Thus, the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs (MARM) will act in the section that runs under the bed of the Boulevard of the Jew, with an investment of 170,000 euros, benefiting an area greater than 3,000 hectares.
The renovation would replace two sections of this pipeline, which runs along the outside of the gallery and under the bed of the wadi.
In the gallery were housed two sheet metal pipes of 500 mm, which allow irrigation with groundwater and the river Segura captured.
