Pedro Antonio López de Haro, from the Primaflor Eagle Triathlon Club, and Laura Durán Morote, from the Saltoki Trikideak won yesterday in the II City of Cieza Triathlon, fifth test of the Regional Triathlon League that leaves the aquiline and the ceheginera leading the same.
The triathlon event, which had almost 200 participants, was disputed by the surroundings of the Segura River and the riverside promenade with exit at the Puente de Hierro and finish at the Era soccer field.
The first ones to leave were the females, with Laura Durán, María del Rocío López and Ángela Ojeda, residents of the CAR Infanta Cristina in Los Narejos, at the head of the swimming sector, where a thousand meters were made by the Segura.
Durán imposed a rhythm in the second sector, of 20 Kilometers of cycling by the highway of the Ginete, that his companions of the CAR could not follow, realizing the rest of the competition in solitary raising finally the tape of winner with a time of 1 hour, 9 minutes and 37 seconds.
The second classified was the triathlete of the Murcia Triathlon Club, Amelia Ayuso Pedreño, who after a great partial bike, managed to hunt down Lopez and Ojeda, leaving alone in the third sector of the race on foot, of 5,200 meters, stopping the chrono in 1 hour, 13 minutes and 13 seconds.
After the Murcia, came María Isabel Robles, from the Caravaca Triathlon Club who made the second best run to stay with the third step of the podium with a time of 1 hour, 13 minutes and 49 seconds.
Minutes after the feminine categories, the masculine exit was given where great groups in cyclist sector were created after a swimming tight by the waters of the Segura.
At the crossing of the road of Ginete with XX began attacks on the leading group, with Graham Baxter, Raúl Martínez and Ramón Alberto Navarro.
The chasing group quickly got down to work reducing the distance by reaching a boxer less than 30 seconds behind the head of the race, which allowed Pedro Antonio López de Haro, after making the best part of the race on foot, to raise the winner's tape with a time of 59 minutes and 43 seconds.
In second position came Ramón Alberto Navarro, from the CD Trirunner Pozo Estrecho, who was also the second best running, stopping the clock in 1 hour and 38 seconds.
Héctor Pujante, of the CT Arabí Yecla-Catlike, was left with the third place after a competition in which the first one came out of the water, and achieved a great comeback in the race on foot, ending with a time of 1 hour and 55 seconds.
In addition, the minors played another day of the Regional Triathlon League in Cehegín, with victory of Paula Sánchez, of the Tritones Murcia Sport Club, and Damián García, of CT Águilas Primaflor, as winners of the Cadet category;
Isabel Mª Navarro, of the CT Arabí Yecla-Catlike, and Brandon Wales, of the Tritones Murcia Sport Club, winners of the Infantile category;
and Aitana Pérez and Sandro Alcaraz, from the Tritones Murcia Sport Club, winners of the Alevín category.
The next triathlon event will be on Saturday, June 23, at the Alhama Triathlon which is also the Women's Triathlon, whose registration is open on the website of the Triathlon Federation of the Region of Murcia, trimurcia.es
