Projecting their work towards citizenship and promoting associationism as a natural way of structuring civil society: this is the dual objective of the Department of Citizen Participation with the organization of the II Association Fair.
In this edition, which will be held on November 18 at the Paseo between 11,000 and 7:00 pm, 39 entities from all over the city will be present.
Nerea Martínez, councilor of Citizen Participation, has found a way of doing something that collectives and entities in the city considered impossible: to foster a meeting between associations and project their work towards citizenship.
"After the success of the first edition, the associations are once again the fundamental pillar of this initiative that reflects the rich associative fabric existing in the municipality", explains Martínez, convinced that the Association Fair is a great tool to connect people with the purposes of these entities and encourage mutual enrichment.
Therefore, the activity wants to build bridges between neighbors that, it should be remembered, were already established in the previous edition.
In the presentation the mayor of Participación Ciudadana has been accompanied by María José Bernal, spokesperson for Cieza Lacta, one of the 39 associations that have confirmed their attendance.
Each one of them will have a stand from which they will be able to present their work and inform the public about its aims, objectives and activities, in a day that also serves as a common ground and rapprochement between the associations, as well as gathering people who can be interested in partnering
The visitors will be able to enjoy and even participate in the activities that the participant entities will prepare in their own stalls, as well as in the stages and the tents enabled by the organization in the Corner of the Convent and the Walk, respectively.
"The first edition of the fair served to promote our work and make partners, without a doubt a good initiative".
This is what Bernal has stated, and he has done it with full knowledge of the facts.
Last year's experience excited him and he decided to use it as a dissemination platform for Cieza Lacta.
And it is that the Fair of Associations is useful to grow the number of associates, generate dynamics by which more people participate in the activities or share knowledge to improve the quality of them.
It's another way to grow and make yourself known.
The Socio-Cultural Association of Women 'San José Obrero', the Cultural Association 'El Caracol', Grupo Rociero del Segura, All Dance, Puente Alambre Teatro, Neighborhood Association of San José Obrero will pass through the stage of the Esquina del Convento. , Cultural Association Cauce and Las Saritas.
On the other hand, the tents will host a workshop to make liquid soap by the Association of Women Athena, a demonstration of bobbin lace starring the Lacemaker Association 'La Perla del Segura', a talk about myths and beliefs related to breastfeeding taught by Cieza Lacta and a painting workshop developed by the San Joaquin Neighborhood Association.
Red Cross Youth, Local Board of the Spanish Association Against Cancer, Cieza Mental Health (Afemce), Tocaos del Ala-Angel Soler Physique Dispacitados Association, New Los Albares Foundation, Down Cieza, Nemaín I, Piedras Vivas Association, Ascopas, Cieza + Life, Youth Network of 'Entreculturas', Acifad, Voades, Photo3, Ladies and Gentlemen of the Encomienda, Puente Alambre Teatro, Center of Historical Studies Fray Pasqual Salmerón, Radio Amateur Union of Cieza, OJE Cieza, Club Atalaya Athenaeum of the Villa, The Creadero Theater, AEPISMI, Animal Protection Association 'El Hocico', PUPEC Cieza or Cultural Center of Women 'Don Bosco' are some of the participating associations.
