The Plenary hosted the approval of large-scale projects for the municipality of Cieza.
The specifications of the Almadenes Canyon were approved, a new regulation for the concession of the regulatory card for people with disabilities or the beginning of the study of the descent of water.
After the celebration of the Ordinary Plenary of the month of February, Councilman Antonio Ignacio Martínez-Real appeared to carry out an evaluation of the same as Spokesperson of the Municipal Government.
The mayor stressed that there are many projects that this Government is implementing every day, which contribute to continue building the city.
This Plenary was an example of this, large-scale projects that come to light, such as the tender of the Interpretation Center of Almadenes.
It has been necessary to put in condition this "self-sufficient" center that the PP inaugurated with a generator, put up the area, take the steps so that the center fulfilled the conditions for which it was subsidized from Europe, set up a commission to study its form of management, prepare a report that has already been approved in plenary and now approve the economic-administrative specifications to be able to be tendered.
A new empty property that will be endowed with content to encourage tourism and expand our offer in that area and that will also involve the creation of jobs.
No less important for the town of Cieza is the approval of the Advance of the specific modification of the PGMO to regulate farms and livestock farms.
It is intended to regulate spaces and conditions so that they can be installed in areas where they do not collide with other interests, be they agricultural, tourist or industrial.
A period of participation is opened to collect suggestions and enrich this modification, which will allow Cieza to continue developing its agricultural sector, as well as the tourist industry without interference from these farms that will have their specific areas to develop as long as they meet the new imposed conditions of buildability, distance, etc.
On the other hand, the Plenary gave green light to the new Ordinance that will regulate the granting of cards to the disabled according to the new legislation.
Regarding the opposition's motions, Martínez-Real wanted to highlight the good dialogue spirit of this government team, which reached an agreement with the PP, later expanded to the rest of the groups, to locate, identify and seal wells in disuse or dangerous oquedades.
And in the same way this Government had the capacity to present a motion that replaced one of CCCi, in which more completely the necessary procedures were adopted to address a reduction in water rates and the creation of new rates for the trade, taking into account the characteristics of each business (surface meters, type, etc.), with which it is intended to improve the conditions of our merchants and make the Cieza establishments more competitive, finally this motion was approved unanimously.
Without any doubt for the Municipal Spokesperson, this was an important plenary session with a lot of content in which unfortunately the "sour" note of the day was put by the PP when a government proposal was discussed that supported the fight against gender violence.
During the debate their council members, who showed reluctance to the text, expressed their willingness to support that motion "so that a headline would not come out" demonstrating that the only thing that matters to them of this Law against gender violence, which they supported in 2004, it is precisely the "owner" without really caring about what it entails.
It is a pity that the PP has given this turn in this matter and that it intends to return to the past.
