Access to housing is one of the biggest problems of the ciezanos.
Young people who want to start their life project or create a new family and elderly people whose pension does not give them access to a decent home will be able to access it thanks to affordable prices and coherent with reality.
The lands located on the slope of the Hermitage, called Migaseca or V6, were expropriated by our City Council several decades ago.
In principle, these plots formed by more than 27,000 m2 should have had a cost for the ciezanos of little more than 300,000 euros.
Due to neglect or perhaps political enmities, the payment of the land was left in the desk drawer of several mayors who did not want to give the agreed solution to the existing commitment.
The outcome of this matter was presented to us at the beginning of the last legislature, 2015, in the form of a judicial judgment of inescapable compliance amounting to almost 5 million euros.
To this sentence were added others, such as those of golf courses or numerous defaults, which have been a burden for this low income corporation.
In spite of everything the economy of the city council has been cleaned up reducing the debt of almost nine million to little less than one.
Now we have to assess what to do with these lands that we have paid at the price of gold.
They can be sold at the price of "market", losing more than 3 million for another to do the business, or manage it from the City Council to improve access to housing for young people and families.
From our point of view, this would be the last great urban development for which many promoters and their political friends sigh, all rubbing their hands while the ciezanos can not find a rental house for less than 500 euros.
Our commitment to the legislature, goes through the use of this resource, which for Podemos Cieza is worth more than money, giving a viable solution to the problem of access to rental housing.
We wonder why sell so that another sell or rent can do all the ciezanos.
For this reason we propose the urbanization of the land and the stepped construction of houses, according to the needs, to rent at reasonable prices, ranging from 250 to 300 euros maximum, to those people who despite having a job or a pension can not Consider purchasing a property.
We do not propose a social housing project, since this matter is the responsibility of the Autonomous Community, but a way to facilitate that our city is not a closed preserve for the wholesale land owners and, in addition, to make the business they intend to serve to improve our town.
We are at the right time for the citizens to value what to do with their vote and what they want for their people, if they want to always make cash at the expense of all or want to live in dignity.
