A total of 21 unemployed are rehabilitating in Cieza the old municipal market to turn it into a center of initiatives of young entrepreneurs, within the framework of a program of the Community that, during twelve months, will allow them to form alternating theoretical training and paid work .
Energize employment among unemployed people between 25 and 54 years with low qualification is the objective of this initiative to which the Employment, Universities, Business and Environment Council, through the SEF, has allocated a game of 340,000 euros.
In this way, the participants, who started their training on May 15, are acquiring qualifications in three specialties of the construction sector.
Specifically, nine of the 21 participants are studying the specialty of 'Factories of Masonry', another six in 'Finishing and carpentry', while the remaining six are going to specialize in 'Assembly and maintenance of low voltage electrical installations'.
The student-workers alternate, from the first weeks, theoretical classes with the work of conditioning the old building to adapt it to the needs of the new center.
Thanks to the subsidy of the SEF they have been hired by the Cieza City Council and their tasks range from demolition, partition and paving operations, through carpentry and electrical installations, among others.
