The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia has developed an investigation to clarify a series of fires committed in a place of Cieza, which has resulted in the identification, location and detention of a neighbor of the town as the alleged author of the criminal acts investigated .
The proceedings began a few months ago, when the Civil Guard detected the commission of several fires in a place in the municipality of Murcia that, apparently, were intended, facts that had caused social alarm among the population.
The exhaustive technical-ocular inspections carried out by the civil guards made it possible to verify that these were fires with an intentional origin, since signs of ignition elements and several sources of fire start were found.
In the first of the cases investigated, the alleged author acceded to a neighbor's plot by scale and caused a fire in a small greenhouse that the victim had on his plot.
This injured suffered another two fires, the last one last July.
Two of the other fires occurred as a result of disagreements of the now arrested with another neighbor.
The fires took place in a country house, in which the complainant had a pen with domestic animals.
As a result of the fire were killed rabbits, chickens and chickens that the complainant had in his pen.
Fruit of these two fires were damaged several fruit trees, leaving them unusable, so they had to be felled and planted again.
Investigators found that the radius of action of all fires was approximately 200 meters and the investigations carried out took the agents to a neighbor in the area, who had disagreements with all the other neighbors of this place, who allegedly was behind the authorship of fires.
The civil guards coordinated with the environmental agents and firemen who acted in the extinction of the fires, which allowed to obtain more information on the possible origin of the same.
Thanks to the various procedures carried out and the detailed analysis of the information obtained during the investigation, the civil guards obtained indications that directly related the suspect to the authorship of the facts, so he has finally been located and detained as the alleged perpetrator of the crime of fire damage
The investigation shows that he is now arrested, allegedly, after the authorship of seven fire damage crimes, apparently motivated by neighborhood disagreements.
The 38-year-old Spanish detainee, a neighbor of Cieza and with a broad criminal record and the proceedings taken have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Cieza (Murcia).
