The City of Cieza has awarded Pavasal SA construction company the maintenance and improvement of the sections of the N-301a, between PK 350 + 000 to PK 355 + 570 and the connection section between the road and the T-301a .

The intervention is included in the plan of maintenance and conservation of municipal roads.

In a press release, the Councilor for Infrastructure, Works and Services, Francisco Saorín, said that "145,000 euros are what matters the conditioning of the old Cieza Variant, of which 118,675.50 euros are financed directly by the coffers municipal. "

The execution period is three months, with the prospect that the work can be completed in two.

"The works will consist mainly in the repair of the asphalt agglomerate firm that in some sections such as the Cuesta del Oúho is very damaged, with potholes and holes that hinder traffic, so it is necessary to reinforce its paving to adapt it to current needs, "says Francisco Saorín.

The councilor stresses that "in PK 354 + 500 there is an accumulation of sediments in the gutter, which causes the overflow of runoff waters invading the road generating a serious risk for the movement of vehicles. In addition, there has been a seat differential in the encounter with an underpass creating an unevenness in the road ".

Likewise, there is part of the horizontal and vertical signaling that have lost retroreflectance with the passage of time, being necessary to repaint all road markings and the replacement of some signals, as well as several sections of vehicle containment barrier that will be replaced and repaired

Francisco Saorín has concluded by highlighting the important investment that is being made under the 2019 budget year, which has highlighted the strong economic injection in the remodeling of streets and sidewalks in the San José Obrero neighborhood and in the Zarandona neighborhood and the emergency works aimed at repairing the damage caused by the "cold drop" in September.
