The University of Murcia and the Atalaya-Ateneo Club association of the Villa de Cieza have signed this Thursday the renewal of a general protocol of action that was signed for the first time five years ago.
Its purpose is to establish channels for the realization of joint advisory, research and training activities that benefit both institutions, especially in the field of safeguarding the memory and intangible heritage of the local community of Cieza, as well as Your social and natural environment.
Antonio Balsalobre, president of the Atalaya-Ateneo Club of the Villa de Cieza, pointed out during the act that the agreement signed a few years ago "has been very fruitful for our association because it has allowed, among other things, to carry out the Ciezanos Studies Contest, Mariano Camacho Memorial ".
For his part, the rector Luján, has expressed that it is the University of Murcia that is grateful to the association for the trust received and has highlighted the work of Carmen González, Professor of History of the UMU recently deceased, in the work done to shelter of this collaboration.
