The integral renovation of a section of the old municipal fish market is halfway through its achievement as the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, and the Councilor for Employment and Economic Development, Antonio Moya, could verify on Monday during a visit to the works of the Future Center for Young Entrepreneurs Initiatives (CIJOE).
It is expected that they will be completed in the next month of May since the execution of the project has a duration of twelve months, so that this new space for entrepreneurs could be running the second half of 2020.
There are still six months to complete the rehabilitation and adaptation of these municipal facilities, an action budgeted at 339,315 euros through a grant from the Regional Employment and Training Service.
The new space to be won will have approximately one thousand square meters for dependencies for the development of creativity, innovation of products and services linked to new demands of society and the promotion of entrepreneurship, contributing to the development of personal skills and the competitiveness and viability of companies.
The works promoted by the Department of Employment and Economic Development are being carried out at a good pace, thanks to the Mixed Employment and Training Program through which twenty-one unemployed people work and receive training for twelve months, under the supervision of a teaching team and of coordination.
Once the project has been executed with materials financed by a municipal item of 120,000 euros, each of them will receive their corresponding accreditation.
All this, notwithstanding the fact that the rehabilitation of the other section of the municipal market with which this property still has is considered in a second phase.
In this way, the participants, who started their training on May 15, are acquiring qualification in three specialties of the construction sector.
Specifically, nine of the 21 participants are studying the specialty of 'Masonry factories', another six in 'Finishing and carpentry', while the remaining six will specialize in 'Assembly and maintenance of low voltage electrical installations'.
They also alternated, from the first weeks, theoretical classes with the work of conditioning the ancient building to adapt it to the needs of the new equipment.
During the visit the municipal officials were interested in the work done so far as the demolition, partitioning and paving operations, through carpentry and electrical installations.
In the center destined to boost employment there will be spaces and common areas separated in modules in which young entrepreneurs who request it can be installed in the first months of life of their project.
The Center for Young Entrepreneurs Initiatives will also have an auxiliary building for training courses, with classroom, office for teachers and waiting room.
