The government team of the City of Cieza announced a few months ago the game enabled for the purchase of the land on which the third bridge of El Rider will be built, "a historical demand that will facilitate the work of farmers and emergency services" , they assure.
The construction of the third bridge over the river became a reality in the 2019 budget.
And it is that on the part of the government team the steps were taken to acquire the land necessary to carry out a highly demanded action for decades, both by the agricultural sector and by the entire population in general.
Now, once the project has been commissioned, the topographic survey has been carried out on the land where the future track of the road projected in the place of El Rider runs.
The topographic works have consisted of the collection of data by GPS in the sections between the RM-B25 road and from the channel to the swamp road, in addition to the margins of the channel in the area where the new viaduct is projected.
"Undoubtedly it is a highly demanded action for decades, both by the agricultural sector and by the entire population in general. In recent years, both PP and Citizens, in the Regional Assembly, have voted against financing this infrastructure However, in our town there is a clear unanimity for the importance it has. It is clear that this work will eliminate much of the heavy traffic rolled from the streets of our urban area, especially in the time of fruit collection, and will also involve a saving in costs and time for the neighbors of one of the banks of the river, which, to travel to the cooperatives, will not have to go around almost 30 km, with the consequent saving of fuel and time. it is also an important infrastructure to continue boosting tourism and facilitate access to different areas for our visitors, especially during the flowering season, "insists the councilor of
Agriculture and Tourism
"Once the availability of the land has been achieved and the corresponding project prepared, it is the commitment of this government to provide the necessary financing for the completion of the bridge, which will be at the expense of the town of Cieza in full if the Autonomous Community continues to corner the important works of our city ", clarifies the mayor, Pascual Lucas.
