While in the whole of the Region of Murcia the numbers of unemployment have increased by 1,664 people and it closes again one more year with bad data of job creation, the numbers of unemployment in Cieza show a significant decrease compared to the month of October, the figures for the month of November being the best of the last 12 years as stated in a press release.
The communiqué of the municipal government adds that Cieza is in a good moment of improvement in terms of employment.
"The unemployment records for the month of November show, again, an important recovery with the decrease in the number of unemployed compared to the previous month, becoming the best for this month since 2007."
The number of unemployed people in the locality has fallen by 56 people, being the agriculture and services sectors those that have contributed to generate these jobs "so important for the improvement of the quality of life of the neighbors".
In interannual terms, that is, with respect to November 2018, unemployment drops by 186 people, so it is concluded that they are "the best verified figures in this month in the last 12 years".
Cieza will close this year 2019 with 14.23% unemployment, being 23.46% in 2014, which, in the last 5 years, unemployment in the municipality has been reduced by 9.23 points, "a very significant percentage in terms of unemployment figures. "
For his part, the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, said that "the City Council works every day with the objective of improving the quality of life of the neighbors in terms of employment, services and projects to continue transforming Cieza into a pioneer municipality, therefore, the drop in unemployed responds to the policies that we put in place and that we will continue to expand until we achieve total employment. "
