Both entities will be part of a commission with the objective of obtaining this distinction for the Holy Week of Cieza, very important for the history of the municipality and its traditions, as well as its tourism.
The mayor, Pascual Lucas, the Councilor for Tourism, Antonio Moya and the president of the Board of Brotherhoods, Joaquín Gómez, accompanied by the Board of Directors, held a meeting a few days ago to design a strategic plan to achieve the Declaration of International Tourist Interest of Holy Week Ciezana.
This meeting confirms the intentions of both institutions to work in unison around a common goal, with the conviction that it is necessary to bet on the internationalization of our Big Week.
Holy Week not only involves the celebration of a few days in which traditions and tourism go hand in hand, but its potential is such that it improves the economy of the city by visiting hundreds of people who consume and generate wealth in the commercial and hospitality sector, or direct and indirect jobs.
Therefore, according to the councilman Pascual Lucas "the request for this distinction not only supports the quality of our Holy Week, but it is also something beneficial for all Cezanos."
For his part, the mayor of Tourism Antonio Moya has commented that "this achievement would be fair because the work of the JHP is unquestionable, as well as the beauty and excellence of our Holy Week."
