In the framework of the collaboration of the Public State Employment Service with Local Corporations, the Department of Employment and Economic Development, in collaboration with the Department of Works and Services of the City of Cieza, two programs for the Promotion of Agricultural Employment have been carried out during the months of October, November and December.
The first of them, called 'Development and improvement of the rural and natural environment in the municipality of Cieza' has had 201 workers and has served to carry out conditioning tasks of the Paseo Ribereño and surroundings of the Molino de Teodoro, Barrio Jover, Cabezo de la Fuensantilla, infrastructure improvement in the ditches of the National Highway 301, Asensao Place, Giménez Castellanos Avenue and B-19 road next to Camino del Molino.
In addition, it has acted in a total of 32 points of uncontrolled landfills around the population, as well as in many municipal lots.
Cleaning of reeds and spills on the banks of the Segura River from the Dam to the New Bridge.
It has also been carried out the treatment of wooden elements of the new bridges and down to Cueva de la Serreta.
In this area, the conditioning of natural stairs of access to the natural water source of the Gorgotón has also been carried out.
In the same way, work has been carried out to improve the environment in the Warehouse Interpretation Center and important work has been carried out to prepare outdoor areas in pavilions and sports facilities, as well as in the Municipal Market.
The industrial and residential areas of Ascoy have also been subject to the cleaning and clearing of this program.
Finally, we must also highlight the painting of street furniture and railings in various streets and municipal parks, as well as conservation works of archaeological and ethnological materials in the Siyâsa Museum.
In the project 'Repair and maintenance of buildings and public roads of Cieza' 15 workers have participated and the actions have mainly focused on the repair and maintenance of the damages of the public roads, repair of pavement of damaged sidewalks, subsidence of firm in sidewalk and driveway area, with replacement of concrete tiles, concrete, granite and basalt pavers.
In addition, replacement of broken and broken curbs has been carried out, grouting sewer cover joints with sidewalks, repair of tree-lined tree shafts, relocation of granite slabs and pedestrian fences existing therein.
The results of the work have been satisfactory despite the fact that the weather conditions have prevented the performance of certain planned actions.
