The spokesman for the municipal government, Francisco Saorín, offered a press conference on Wednesday to assess what was discussed in the January plenary session, held by the City of Cieza on Tuesday.
Saorín has been blunt in his appearance highlighting that "the constant and successful work of the different councils leaves full after full opposition groups without the ability to maneuver to submit alternative motions on Cieza," directly affecting the councilors of PP and Vox that "just submit motions that are sent from Murcia."
The spokesman of the local Executive has criticized that the PP "has limited itself to submit a motion, of the two to which it is entitled, which is valid for any City Council, despite having a councilwoman released and an administrative in the municipal group, that denotes the little desire to work that the councilors of the popular group have, a tonic that they maintain since the beginning of the current corporation ".
Regarding the content of the PP initiative, Saorín recalled that "the motion was so little worked and so far from municipal powers that the proposing group 'dropped it' by voting on the amendment presented by the municipal government; and that agreements that the popular group wanted the Plenary to adopt are impossible to comply with, as they refer to matters that are not within the municipal competence, but are the responsibility of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia. "
With regard to the two motions presented by Citizens, the Government spokesman recalled that one of them, the one referring to the adoption of measures against canine excrements, was removed from the agenda at the request of the proposing group itself, recognizing that the Government is already acting on the issue.
As for the second on actions to be carried out to avoid flooding in Camino de Alicante, the spokesman recalled the improvements on the topic that have been made recently, informing that municipal technicians are working on solutions for specific and exceptional episodes, as is the case of those caused by the heavy rains of the September DANA.
Saorín has also valued the two motions presented by Vox.
Thus, in relation to the Tajo-Segura transfer, he has criticized "the instrumental and partisan use that the right has been doing on the issue of water and its lack of commitment to the policies of persecution of illegal use of the same, of the extension of irrigation , of theft of water, of overexploitation of wells and of an unsustainable development model ".
Regarding the second initiative related to the creation of the national prize for the novel Ciudad de Cieza, Saorín has described as "occurrence" the data offered for its endowment, warning of the "contradictions of Vox, which in a plenary proposes to lower taxes and in the next increase spending ".
Saorín also referred to the "misuse" of the turn of pleas and questions by the councilors of the opposition, warning them of the advisability of presenting the questions in writing so that they can be answered rigorously by the Government, criticizing that they are always used by the exceptional mechanism "in voce", which denotes that, rather than being directed to obtain information, they seem formulated to "catch" the delegated councilors.
The spokesman of the Government has finished his appearance stating that "the full notes that the opposition has not just landed, and that the absence of initiatives on the affairs of the municipality by the rights has been commonplace; we think more for the good work of the Government that by the little desire to work of the opposition ".
