The Local Agrarian Council met last week at the City Council of Cieza chaired by the mayor, Pascual Lucas, who was accompanied by the head of Agriculture, Antonio Moya.
Among the topics that were put on the table, the one related to the arrangement of rural roads stood out.
As mentioned, within the PDR, three calls have been made, of which only the first one is completed including the roads of Tamarit and Soto.
Regarding the second call, it was recalled that the mayor signed the land disposition in April 2019 without the work being started yet.
Finally, it was indicated that, within the third call, the roads to be rehabilitated are already admitted, "but we have not yet been called from the Ministry of Agriculture to communicate the final resolution."
In another order of matters, it was noted that the damages of the DANA in the agricultural field are focused especially on Lorca and Cieza, explaining that after the UPA and COAG talks with the Secretary General of Agriculture, he undertook to enable a game to make arrangements for the second call immediately and the passage of El Olmico speed bump.
On the issue of the Tajo-Segura transfer, it was asked why the municipal government did not vote favorably on the last motion submitted to support it, the Moya responding that "the way to raise it was not the most appropriate, totally insulting and, therefore, politicized, which prevented reaching any consensus on it. "
The mayor recalled that, since he is head of Agriculture, "all motions on the transfer have been agreed with all political groups."
Finally, Antonio Moya urged that he be transferred to the president of the transfer, Lucas Jiménez, "to attend once to his irrigators in the area of the Cieza-Calasparra transfer, since the transfer is not just the Cartagena field, nor does it start , as many believe, in the blue of Ojós ".
Ultimately, the Local Agrarian Council served to address once again the need for blind agriculture to continue gaining visibility, for which the II Agrojornadas and the II Fair of February will be celebrated on the weekend of February 14 to 16 the Agriculture.
They are organized by the Office of the Farmer and have the collaboration of the Department of Agriculture and SantanderAgro.
Agriculture will once again be the protagonist in these days that will be held at the Capitol Theater.
As a complement to them, during the weekend, the Plaza de España will host the II Agricultural Machinery Exhibition, where you can visit different agricultural and machinery exhibitors.
The conference will begin on Friday with the presentation at 10:00 am by Andrés Marín, president of COAG-IR Cieza, and the Councilor for Agriculture, Antonio Moya.
The themes chosen for the conferences are linked to the future and the economy.
