Last Friday, February 14, the first day of inclusive athletics was organized on the Juan Manuel Molina athletics track, organized by the Sports Service of the City of Cieza.
The participating centers were the ASCOPAS Occupational Center, Los Albares New Foundation, El Buen Pastor School, CPD Los Olivos, AFEMCE, and IES Los Albares.
Approximately one hundred athletes participated in the long jump tests, 60 meters skills, 80 meters adapted, 100 meters smooth and 4x100m relay.
The day was a real festival of inclusive sport because athletes with and without disabilities participated in all events, logically adjusting them to the needs of the participants.
At the end of the morning a diploma was given to all the participants.
From the Sports Service we want to thank all the Centers for their participation in this day, and especially to the students, students and teacher of the Institute of Secondary Education Los Albares for their invaluable collaboration with this day of sports coexistence.
Soon another day of inclusive sport will be held, this time aimed at team sports.
