The City Council of Cieza celebrates today Thursday afternoon, at 18.30, an extraordinary and urgent session in which a joint proposal of the five municipal political groups and the councilor not attached in support of agriculture and livestock will be discussed and voted.
According to the text of the initiative, the entire Corporation, with the inclusion of all political forces with municipal representation, will express their support for the mobilizations announced and convened by farmers and ranchers in the face of the serious problems that are currently facing the sector.
The protest, convened by COAG, UPA and ASAJA, will take place this Friday morning in Murcia.
The joint motion also expresses its support for the claims included in the manifesto that said agrarian organizations signed on February 3.
In another order of things, the plenary will also address a joint proposal of the socialist municipal political groups, United Left-Greens and Vox, and of the unassigned councilor, to urge groups represented in the Regional Assembly of the Region of Murcia to the implementation and approval of various amendments to the draft regional budget for 2020.
The initiative specifically demands that items be enabled for various projects necessary for Cieza, some of them already classic, such as the sewage collector, the third bridge over the Rider, the repair of the B-19 road, the arrangement of the road and collector of El Maripinar and the collector in Paseo de Ronda.
Finally, the ordinary session will contemplate a proposal from the Councilor for Education in relation to the approval of the candidacy of the City Council of Cieza to attend the call for recognition by UNICEF as a child-friendly city.
