With the subjectivity of the best photograph, each framing, play of light or shade of color says a personal interpretation of the landscape in bloom, chaired by a farmer who does not see himself and who nevertheless makes himself felt.
The twenty finalist images of the VIII Photography Contest 'Flowering in Cieza' can be contemplated for years, but the moment they were captured abruptly vanishes in the past.
Herein lies the beauty of photography.
The prize is to get that picture.
Now that picture can get a prize.
Each spring Cieza Photographic Association (CAF) asks photographers to submit their best images for the annual photography contest 'La florción en Cieza'.
The photos that reach the jury are always spectacular: fields in bloom, places and nature captured in an innovative and surprising way.
In the eighth edition the organizers have received a total of one hundred and eight snapshots belonging to twenty-six authors from inside and outside the Region of Murcia.
The finalist images share a sensitive view of geography and human experience in a natural phenomenon that is constantly changing color, due to the plantings of new varieties of stone fruits.
The works presented on this subject are more than a photographic account narrated by their authors;
They represent a step forward in the task of promoting the Floración tourism project promoted by the City Council of Cieza.
This photo contest is an invitation to launch into the field with the camera and become a true Fernando Galindo.
Because the best works remember that a photograph can do much more than simply document a moment and save it for history: it manages to transport the viewer to scenarios never seen before.
The photographic eye and the creative process, coupled with passion and sensitivity, are part of the photographer team as important as the camera itself.
The result is a personal and innovative look, which will make it difficult for the jury to choose the three best images, which are displayed in the exhibition space inside the Arab houses 6 and 10, reproduced on a real scale, at the Siyâsa Museum.
It will be on March 7, at 12.30 pm, when the jury will make its decision public, proceeding to the awards to the three winning photographs.
Spectacularity still matters, but not as much as originality and quality.
This was highlighted this Friday during the inauguration of the exhibition the president of Cieza Photographic Association, Ramón Morcillo, in an act that was chaired by the mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, accompanied by the Councilors of Museums and Tourism, Conchi Villa and Antonio Moya respectively.
"The photos are at the height of the beauty of flowering," said the alderman, while touring the exhibition that will be open to the public until March 22.
"The framework of the Arab houses is ideal for photos," said the Councilor for Museums satisfied to be able to continue flying to this unique exhibition space of the Siyâsa Museum.
And so it is.
Since a few years ago the interior of them was enabled for exhibitions, the only objective that the museum management has had is to host the largest number of artistic proposals
