On the occasion of the entry into force of Royal Decree 463/2020, of March 14, declaring the state of alarm for the management of the health crisis situation caused by COVID-19 (hereinafter RD 463/2020 ), the Department of Circular Economy launched from the first day an extraordinary protocol to intensify the cleaning and disinfection work.
The disinfection tasks that in the first phase have included a crash plan carried out by personnel from the companies that provide street cleaning and waste collection services, Aguas de Cieza and Urban Environment respectively, covering on the one hand those areas that They will continue to have a significant influx as their use is allowed by the Royal Decree, both public spaces such as health centers, hospitals, supply squares, social services buildings, urban furniture, especially containers, as well as the surroundings of all those private commercial premises included in article 10 of the Royal Decree and whose opening is still allowed, such as supermarkets, pharmacies, tobacconists and ATMs, among others.
During the last days, different proposals and offers of collaboration have been channeled to the City Council of Cieza through the Department of Circular Economy from different groups and public entities to collaborate and join these tasks, for the extension of cleaning and disinfection measures. in a more generalized way to other spaces of the urban nucleus, even making selflessly available the means and resources to carry them out.
That is why, and in order to coordinate efforts and make them more operational, the Cieza city council has prepared a cleaning and disinfection plan that will be in force throughout the period of validity of the state of alarm and that will add to the spaces mentioned other areas of the city in order to maintain, as far as possible, the maximum disinfection conditions.
This cleaning plan, in which several BRIF brigades also recently collaborated, will be made up of the companies Aguas de Cieza and Urban Environment, the Department of Services, Firefighters and farmers of the municipality and will be coordinated by the Department of Economy Circular, Local Police and Civil Protection.
Likewise, it is communicated that the performance of those works that affect the public highway will be announced by public address system for the information of occasional pedestrians.
