The Cieza City Council, through the Department of Social Welfare, has set up a shelter for the homeless in the covered pavilion of the Mariano Rojas Municipal Sports Center, which will be open as long as the exceptional conditions of the state of alarm last.
Red Cross supplies for this installation hygiene material, blankets, sacks and beds, in principle, for 10 people.
The management of this hostel is the responsibility of the City Council through the work of Social Services volunteers.
People housed in this area are undergoing a health check and have the possibility of eating lunch and dinner as well as staying overnight at the hostel, in addition to being monitored 24 hours a day.
