As a consequence of the current situation, the City Council had to resort to new technologies in order to hold the April Plenary.
Something that, in the words of Antonio Ignacio Martínez-Real, has been possible thanks to the work of the municipal technicians who have made the adaptations so that it could also be broadcast live and thanks to the collaboration of all the councilors who made it possible to develop with normal.
For the Councilor-Government Spokesperson, it is very positive that, by consensus, an institutional statement was read regarding these moments, since they are issues in which unity is necessary. Among the points discussed, the Plenary was informed of the liquidation of the 2019 financial year, closed in budgetary stability which will allow the incorporation of remnants for this year, and the payment of various invoices was also approved at these times when so much is needed by many mercantile companies and autonomous.
Likewise, with the intention of reactivating the economy, the provisional approval of the suspension of the ICIO tax until March 31, 2021 was agreed, with this measure it is intended that those who plan to do some work or reform, be it promoter, private or industry proceed to initiate it in this exercise, all being favored by the elimination of the tax, and thus generating employment in this complicated year.
The activity license fee was also eliminated,in order to facilitate the procedures for those who want to start a new activity in these difficult times and until March 31, 2021. Finally, regarding the distribution of masks made, Martínez-Real wants to remember that, as already revealed in the press release issued by the city council, that these masks are not approved, but they effectively serve as a physical barrier and that for Its manufacture has followed the instructions of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism for the realization of these hygienic masks.
Although they do not guarantee, or any other, that contagions do not occur, so apart from the use of masks we must continue to comply with the recommendations of the health authorities, such as hand washing, social distance, etc.
