Sources from the Department of Tourism of Cieza report that the project to fix the access road to the cave of La Serreta has already been carried out, collected through the Participatory Budgets. The actions carried out on the existing path in the area of ??La Serreta, which gives access to the Cave, a place classified as BIC (Well of Cultural Interest), and which is part of the Rock Art of the Mediterranean Arch, classified World Heritage Site by UNESCO, they have basically consisted of conditioning its pavement to improve vehicle traffic, enable parking areas and delimitation of the security zone at the point of direct access to the cave. The path had a firm granular material, which had completely disappeared at some points due to the action of the water that runs through the different natural channels that cross it along its route and that make the path impassable in these sections.
.
For this reason, the road surface has been prepared throughout its layout, by grading and compacting said surface and spreading regularizing granular material.
In addition, concrete speed bumps have been built on the surface runoff steps. The delimitation of a "fence" (with posts and cable) has also been carried out, establishing a more than necessary safety zone at the access point to the cave-chasm.
