| From PODEMOS CIEZA, we want to express our strongest rejection of the statements by the spokesperson for Vox at the Cieza City Council, councilor Juan Piñera | That Vox is a homophobic, xenophobic and machista party that despise diversity (human and cultural), equality and feminism, is something that we already knew, and the messages that the leaders of this formation, Francisco Serrano, Santiago Abascal or Javier Ortega Smith, they are a good sample.
But we did not believe that this Alderman, and therefore representative of the local residents of our town hall, went that far.
Piñera's masculinism (as his leaders do) is expressed in his aggressive and downbeat tone.
He even insults the dignified work of women in the field, denigrating his valuable contribution by suggesting that women he / they do not want or do not like, go to the field to empower themselves.Vox's rejection of feminism is surprising because it apparently alienates it from a substantial part of the electorate, but it is in tune with a retrograde sector of society: the idea that feminism wants to substitute the domain of men for that of women, something that is FALSE and it demonstrates his macho and mixogynistic ideology and the worst, that he does not understand anything about Feminism and its fight for equality.
For this reason, the statements of this councilor warning that "there are two classes of women", those that they consider as such, and the others that do not identify with their macho ideas and that therefore place them as their enemies, is a classic error of machismo, because you should know that Feminism is not an option AGAINST man.Vox embodies a women's policy of nostalgia.
For many, in relation to the social conquests of women, it takes us back to the early 1980s, when we remember, the single woman was equated with the minor and could not leave the house without parental consent.
Furthermore, Piñera mistakenly thinks that women, under their military, police or sanitary uniforms, are as they want; and we know that it is not.
We know that most of them, the 8M demonstrate, that they fight for equality, for the breaking of the glass ceilings and against male violence, and that under their uniforms they keep their bodies as they want (with hair or without hair) , because they are free to do it and not as the Vox would like them to be.Let's hope that the people who, in good faith, voted for them in their day, open their eyes to what this party really is, especially women from Cuba.
And we hope that this Councilman will rectify, if he is capable of doing so.These are the statements of the councilor spokesman for VOX in the City of Cieza.
