The Department of Employment and Economic Development reports that, after years of work and with the support of companies in the agricultural sector, the Ministry of Education and Culture, through the General Directorate of Educational Evaluation and Vocational Training, has published the training offer 2020-2021 in which the municipality of Cieza has been awarded the Basic Vocational Training Course on Agro-Gardening and Flower Compositions in Dual mode, which will be taught next year 2020/2021 at the IES Los Albares, taking place classes at Jardin Casa Grande located in Ascoy.

This training cycle lasts for two years and the students who complete it will obtain a degree in ESO.

The students who are the object of Basic Vocational Training are those between 15 and 17 years old,as long as it does not exceed 17 before the academic year begins.The registration process will begin on June 1 and end on the 16th of the same month.

To collect the applications, they should go to the phone 968773077 of the IES Los Albares.The Dual modality implies weekly internships in companies, with which the students will receive a scholarship of no more than 80% of the IPREM, which would be about € 430.27 maximum, provided that they do 40 hours a week in the company.This cycle has the following professional opportunities: agricultural laborer in horticulture, fruit growing, herbaceous crops, cut flower crops, gardening, nursery, garden centers, sports fields, florist, florist assistant and flower store assistant.With the granting of this training cycle, Cieza is at the forefront of this type of training, since there are currently no cycles in this type within our national territory.
