"Since the beginning of this terrible pandemic, the Social Welfare Center has continued to serve the entire population of Cieza and particularly families with a special situation of social vulnerability," indicate municipal sources.Now, in this de-escalation process, telephone attention is maintained whenever possible in order to guarantee the health of the users of this service, as well as that of the workers themselves.

All procedures can be carried out in a simple way, as has been done since March.

In any case, the local administration will provide citizens with access to the resources to which they are entitled, according to the municipal ordinance that regulates aid.These grants within the VOLVEMOS campaign are benefits to meet the basic needs of families, that is, food, hygiene, clothing, pharmacy and formula.

These aids will be provided as usual, but will have a special reinforcement to cover those situations of need caused by the serious health crisis that we suffer; benefits to meet the extraordinary needs of families, aimed at maintaining the usual home, such as rent, water, electricity, basic equipment, transportation expenses in certain cases, books, school supplies or canteens.

Likewise, special attention will be paid to cover those needs caused by the pandemic, without excluding all those who meet the requirements of the legislation.Likewise, among the benefits are those intended to meet needs derived from the development of intervention programs, those of home delivery services, to serve people in a particularly vulnerable situation, especially older and younger people with difficulties; accompaniment service for the elderly, designed to meet the needs of the elderly in the municipality who do not have sufficient social supports.

This service is established to carry out tasks ranging from accompaniment, to the purchasing service, recipes collection or the coverage of any other need of this highly vulnerable group.Telephone psychological and legal attention while face-to-face attention is not possible from the CAVI for women victims of gender violence and from the Social Services Center for the rest of the people of the municipality; reinforcement with own resources of the projects financed by the Autonomous Community aimed at minors in a situation of social vulnerability, to attend to all the needs that they may present, and the processing of all available resources, in addition to the municipal, autonomous, third sector entities, etc., to improve the living conditions of all the citizens of Cieza.To access any of these resources or aids, it is necessary to contact the Social Services or CAVI respectively by calling 968773009 or the City Council phone 968760800 ext.
