The company Medrianpar, SL, awarded the contract for the concession of services for the management and exploitation of the "Cañón de Almadenes Interpretation Center", has assigned said contract to the also Ciezana company BUITREAVENTURA, which is subrogated in all rights and obligations derived of the contract, in accordance with clause 16.1 of the specific administrative clauses and article 214 of the LCSP (Law of Public Sector Contracts). This Interpretation Center is an important dynamizing element of nature tourism and is a key element for the conservation of the space.
The main purpose of the Center is to establish an educational program that informs the recipients of the natural, archaeological and cultural values ??of the protected area, instilling positive attitudes through the development of educational experiences "in situ", as well as active tourism activities and of a nature compatible with the conservation of the values ??of the space. The natural area is included in the Special Protection Plan "Sierra de la Palera", Almadenes, Los Losares and Almorchón ", and included in the Network of Protection Areas for Wild Fauna" Embalse de Alfonso XIII, Cagitán and Almadenes " .
The Gorgotón and Almadenes fountains, a few meters from the Interpretation Center, make up a place of geological interest, and the space also has one of the most significant rock art stations in our Region, declared a World Heritage Site by the Hunesco in 1998, highlighting the caves of La Serreta and El Arco. The Councilor for Tourism, Antonio Moya, thanked the company Medrianpar, SL, for the services provided during the first year of commissioning of the center and wished the incoming company BUITREAVENTURA good luck showing them all the support from the City Council.
