The first of these literary appointments took place this Monday with the novel 'Maryam de Siyâsa' (Alfaqueque Ediciones, 2020) by the Ciezano writer Antonio Balsalobre, who was accompanied by Fernando Fernández, editor, and Alejandro García, professor of History at the University of Murcia.The Padre Salmerón Municipal Library, under the direction of the Department of Libraries, will make the nights of Cieza culturally dynamic until the month of October with the presentation of four books by Ciezan authors on the outside terrace of the old Franciscan convent.
This is an activity called 'BiblioTerraza' that will be carried out outdoors with mandatory use of a mask and reduced capacity in accordance with the strict security measures contemplated by the health authorities.The second of the initiatives will take place this Wednesday, September 16, also at the same time.
In this case, the focus will be on a biography entitled 'Juan el Toleja, un hombre unrepeatable', by its own protagonist.'And, from there, you will see the world' is the title of the book by Toñi Benedicto whose presentation will take place on September 25.Finally, on October 9, at 8:00 p.m., the works 'A manos de la tierra' and 'Para Elisa', both by Mari Carmen Ruiz Bernal, will close this cycle of literary presentations.Councilor María Ramos has commented in this regard that "Cieza is rich in many things, but one of which we cannot forget is the great cultural and artistic heritage that we have from the hand of ciezanos who take us to other corners through their works, in this case literary, in which the Department of Libraries has the honor of having writers from our city on this occasion who will give life to the terrace of Father Salmerón to strengthen all the potential that this installation gives us to offer it to the neighbors of Cieza ".
