At the request of the health authorities, and according to the daily surveillance task of the Police and the Civil Guard, concentrations are taking place, mostly of adolescents, in different leisure spaces, which by not respecting the distancing measures, use of masks and frequent hand washing, increase the risk of contagion, so the City Council will proceed to close them in order to raise awareness and persuade these practices that can be harmful to health. In the meeting held at the beginning of the week with the health authorities, the mayor, Pascual Lucas, was told the need to influence the recommendations and especially to put special vigilance on social gatherings, which after the work of the trackers concludes that they are the main focus of transmission. In this sense, and after the analysis carried out by the security forces, the Saharaui Park, the interior park of the Lope de Vega roundabout and the park next to the Plaza de Toros will be closed, with the sole purpose of raising awareness and avoid the concentrations that have been taking place every afternoon.Likewise, both the Local Police and the Civil Guard are going to intensify surveillance and control to force the population to comply with the Law, whose non-compliance can lead to harsh penalties for offenders. At the same meeting, everything discussed with the health authorities in the meeting held by the mayor and the Health Councilor was analyzed, which will be progressively implemented. The mayor, Pascual Lucas, has once again appealed to the collective responsibility of all, "we are living a serious situation, and it is necessary to take extreme precautions and comply more than ever with the recommendations of the health authorities, to keep distance from safety, frequent hand washing and the use of masks.
If we all respect the rules, we will be able to recover the situation that we had until very few days ago and not move towards a more delicate situation that would force more restrictive measures throughout the municipality.
responsibility as citizens must prevail more than ever ".
