The councilors of Education and Health of the City Council of Cieza, directors of the municipal centers, pediatricians, and the manager of Health Area IX have met to create the Education-Health commission, which was created in order to monitor the situation of the students and teachers of Cieza during this academic year due to Covid-19.At this meeting, common lines of action and the coordination of the protocol to be applied in case of positives in municipal centers were agreed.
Some of the guidelines that were clarified were: "If you have symptoms, call the health services and keep quarantine; if the suspicion is confirmed with a positive PCR, keep quarantine for 10 days; if you are close contact (in Children the whole group, in Primary those who have been less than 2 m without a mask in a closed place), are quarantined for 10 days.
The health services will perform the PCR in 7 days if no symptoms have appeared before.
"Francisco Saorín, head of Health, said that "this is a decisive year to carry out common lines of action and joint working groups between various councils and administrations, therefore, we believe that this commission is necessary and we are very satisfied with its creation and the result of their first meeting.
"For her part, the head of the Education portfolio, María Ramos, has indicated that "this commission intends to take care of the educational community of Cieza, to guarantee the safety of all those who form it, giving priority to the smallest and young without hinder their academic year, because despite not having competence in both subjects, from the City Council we care in a special way for our students and we will do everything possible to take the situation through the correct channels as well as vindicate the councils of the CARM just enough for Cieza.
"With the arrival of the school nurses, the protocol has been translated into an information poster so that the entire educational community knows the current protocols.
