The Councilor for Health and Public Health of the City of Cieza specifies that the Red Cross, Cáritas and Cermi will be in charge of distributing 7,800,000 masks among the most vulnerable population groups, while another 7,200,000 masks will reach citizens through the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.The Secretary of State for Health, Silvia Calzón, accompanied by the general deputy director of the SNS Service Portfolio and Compensation Funds, Cristina González del Yerro, met last Thursday with the president of Cermi, Luis Cayo Pérez; the president of Cáritas, Manuel Bretón, and the director of the Red Cross Health Department, Carmen Martín, in order to address the distribution of a new batch of masks during this month of November and a similar quantity during the month of December.In a press release, the Councilor for Health and Public Health of the City of Cieza, Francisco Saorín, has highlighted "the daily work and collaboration that the Red Cross, Cáritas has been providing in the municipality since the beginning of the pandemic, helping the people in vulnerable situations ".
Likewise, it has encouraged them to continue contributing, with their cooperation, to distribute protection materials to these groups in situations of special economic vulnerability.Saorín explained that the Ministry of Health has received requests from the Red Cross, Cermi and Cáritas and is going to deliver a total of 7,800,000 masks in November and a similar amount in December, in order to meet the needs of these social entities.
