| Relieves Piedad Abellán, who has recently assumed regional responsibility for the pension area | On December 3, Thursday, the Assembly of the Podemos-Cieza Circle took place, which was convened, with a mandatory character, for the renewal of the coordination team in accordance with the new organizational structure that emerged from the last State Congress of Podemos (Vistalegre III).
The main novelty, the virtual holding of this Assembly and the voting, forced by the health situation we are experiencing and the restrictions derived from it.Piedad Abellán Vázquez, who was leaving the position of spokesperson for the circle without opting for re-election, valued the holding of this assembly as a success and "a participation that, without being massive, was up to the task taking into account the circumstances and the limited custom of holding telematic meetings of this type of body ".
Regarding the result, the only candidacy presented for the spokesperson was that of Maribel Aguayo, who was supported by the unanimity of those attending this virtual assembly.Once the new spokesperson was appointed by the assembly of militants, the second item on the agenda contemplated the appointment of the new coordinating council, made up of four people, at the proposal of the elected spokesperson, Maribel Aguayo.
The proposal at this point was approved unanimously, with the coordinating council being integrated, in addition to the spokesperson, by two women and two men, namely: Catalina Escribano Fernández, María Jesús Fernández Ortiz, Antonio Lucas Pińera and David Moreno Bernal.At the end of the meeting, Piedad Abellán Vázquez valued her time as spokesperson for the purple formation in Cieza as "one of the most enriching stages of my life trajectory, because of how much I have learned and because of the human quality of all the people with whom that I have collaborated closely ".
Precisely, "to all these people who have been my strongest support I want to publicly convey my heartfelt thanks, which I extend to Podemos as a party, for their ability to continue to inspire so many people and, of course, all people that make up the incoming team, for their decision to assume responsibilities.
"The new leaders of Podemos in Cieza will not lack collaboration, if we listen to the words of Piedad Abellán when she states that "although I will be very busy with the management of the Pensions Area in Podemos-Region of Murcia, within the Council Autonomous Citizen, Maribel and the other members of the new team know that they can count on me unconditionally, and I'm sure they can count on the rest of the militants in the circle as well.
" According to Piedad, "the renewal of people, in a party like Podemos, is a value to defend, because we are all leaders and we are all militants in some way, there are no elites within Podemos."The new spokesperson, for her part, also publicly thanked Piedad Abellán and the outgoing coordinating council for the work done, and expressed the need for collaboration and participation of all, beyond the assumption of specific responsibilities by specific people.In short, an assembly and a renewal of positions with which a new stage of the purple party is inaugurated in Cieza, "in a context that is already very different from the one in which we emerged," says Piedad Abellán, "since 15-M remains Far away and Podemos has shown that it can be a government party and to promote profound social changes from the governments in which it can participate.
