The Councilor for Works and Infrastructures of the City Council of Cieza, Francisco Saor n, welcomes the fact that the successive calls for Participatory Budgets have been the tool that continuously provides means and improves the infrastructures of the Zoological Center. In this second phase of improvement that is already being carried out, the provision of electrical energy and adaptation and planting of trees in the patios for walking and releasing the animals cared for, a second phase of improvement that was voted on and endowed with an economic item through the Participatory Budgeting. At the beginning of July, the Councilor for Works and Infrastructures of the City Council of Cieza, Francisco Saor n, reported on the completion of the works for the construction and conditioning of the municipal shelter for abandoned animals Centro Zool gico Sierra Ascoy de Cieza, as well as that they had been received by the City Council.

Works that had a cost of 101,444.67 euros. "At the end of July, as soon as possible, the animals, which had not been adopted and which during the construction of the building were sheltered by a private company hired by the Cieza city council, returned to the municipality where they are.

Another improvement that is being carried out - according to the mayor - consists of the planting of trees to provide shadows and ornamentation in the patios, including drip irrigation. As for the large patio, it is being divided by fencing into two patios connected by a double-leaf door. Finally, the Councilor for Works and Infrastructures has reported that, as it is a minor work, a budget was requested from three companies, the performance being finally awarded to the one that presented the smallest amount, the most favorable to the municipal coffers, as contemplated by the current legislation on procurement for public administrations, with the company Ciezana IREL being the successful bidder for a total amount of the work of 22,978.89 euros.
