["En canal" becomes a successful artistic declaration of intentions by Mar a Sal (19/12/2020)

Mar a Sal (Cieza, 1996) is a painter on the rise and training and the fact that the journalist Mar a Jos C rceles has been involved in the curatorial work of her first solo exhibition is a clear sign of your worth.

An artist is not one who works with a brush and chisel, but with ideas.

At her best creative moment, the young ciezana makes an original plastic bet in which she finds a way to express what she wants.

His works provide powerful prints through a graphic guide, as an imaginary manual, to heal physical and emotional wounds.

'En canal' defines his feeling in a beautiful and very intense way.

And it is that you can be artistically sublime and committed at the same time, like her. What was once home to the 13th century Ciezanos, the Andalusian houses of Siyasa reproduced to scale with their original arches and plasterwork in the municipal museum, has become in recent years as a regular setting for exhibitions and presentations of different by him.

Art within art.

And there the Sal sample was presented this Friday, which could already be seen recently in the room of the Cultural Field of El Corte Ingl s, in Murcia.

A very careful act that has had a very small public presence, due to the severe measures imposed by the health authorities as a result of the pandemic.

The presentation was chaired by Mayor Pascual Lucas, who praised the artistic quality of the work. The exhibition curator, Mar a Jos C rceles; the Councilor for Museums, Conchi Villa, and the president of the Association of Artists of Cieza, Mar a Joaquina S nchez, who glossed the personality and artistic language of the author of the exhibition.

The event featured the highly valued participation of local musician and composer Luis del Amor García, who premiered the song 'Badlands' for the occasion.

The music contributed to the visit with which the opening concluded, which was followed among the public by the Councilor for Culture, Melba Miñano; the mayors of the Municipal Corporation, Manuel Egea and Laura Villa, and the director of the Municipal Museum Service, Joaqu n Salmer n. "It is a reflection on open wounds and their healing process in the human being.

Of all kinds of wounds, the most superficial scratches, the fiercest claws.

Isn't it a work of expression? n of pain, but a window open to the hope of healing, in the capacity for physical and mental healing that we all have, although those past wounds leave us scars so that we always remember, when we see them, that we must avoid everything that the past has done us the slightest harm.

" The words of Joaqu n Salmer n, father of the ciezana artist, could preside over every reflective and emotional stop in our present.

Paintings and words, including his, intertwine in the exhibition made up of a dozen works. He proposes his gaze on the physical and cognitive complexity of the human being as an example of difficulty in healing physical and emotional wounds with respect to that of all other living beings.

It is the conceptual base on which the palette of his sensitivity unfolds.

It looks like a collection of independent paintings until all are assembled at the end of the tour to the amazement of the viewer.

Therein lie the many carats of this gallery where texts play a role in understanding these paintings.

Creating beauty, seducing through it, is one of the reasons for art.

And for the author, this work seeks that connection with the viewer and trusts that this sample of the healing process can serve the public to reflect. In his own words, "it is made from hope." Each composition with minimalist features, created with a mixed technique, provokes an aesthetic emotion.

She is the spearhead of the renewal of contemporary plastic arts in the Region of Murcia.

His creative talent when approaching painting is evident in this collection by the uniqueness and the very stamp of his work.

And it is that he has managed to achieve not without effort, according to C rceles, "an adjustment of colors in the composition and at the same time accentuates the tonal contrasts, thus giving a feeling of greater relief.

The brushstrokes drawn with pure colors, they fade as we move away from the painting, giving a series of nuances with character and pictorial quality to the work ".
