Despite the fact that 2020 has been a very complicated year, in which the economy has been very slowed down by the restrictions caused by the pandemic, the measures implemented by the Municipal Government have yielded a positive result and we see how in our City the Employment data is much better than the regional average and the crisis has been better withstood than in other parts of the Region of the Country.

From the City Council of Cieza, approximately 500,000 Euros have been allocated to commerce and hospitality, including direct aid, campaigns and bonuses. During 2020 we have been by the side of the people, trying to do things as well as possible.

With only own resources, more than 160,000 Euros have been allocated in aid to people in need, and an employment plan amounting to 100,000 Euros has been created.

Also in this year 2020, the ICIO was temporarily suspended to encourage construction.

This measure has been positive, which has allowed works projects amounting to more than 2.5 million euros to have already been authorized.

Approximately, as indicated by the Department of Finance, with this measure the City Council will stop entering about 90,000 Euros, but in exchange it has been achieved that works worth the important value of 2.5 million Euros can be put into march and generate more jobs allowing even the survival of some companies.

Finally, Antonio Ignacio Mart nez-Real concludes, stating that all the measures implemented have had the purpose of encouraging the economy in these difficult and complicated times and, especially, they have tried to help, within the possibilities and Limits that the Local Administration has, to all people with difficulties.
