The mayor of Cieza, Pascual Lucas, accompanied by the councilors of Celebrations and Citizen Participation, Mar a Jes s L pez and Conchi Villa, respectively, visited the public spaces chosen by the neighborhood associations on Tuesday to participate in the I Christmas Decoration Contest 'Christmas Corners'.
It is a contest promoted by the City Council of Cieza with the aim of getting people involved in decorating its streets and filling the city's neighborhoods with life. During her visits to the neighborhoods of San Joaqu n, San José Obrero, San Juan Bosco, Santa Clara-La Ermita and Ascoy, the municipal responsible for Citizen Participation commented that, "thanks to municipal initiatives like this, we are trying to build a neighborhood, weaving social networks that are close, close and immediately revert to the relations of the neighbors and the improvement of the city.
" The exhibition period for the works carried out with recycling materials will last until January 6. For its part, the mayor of Festejos highlighted the Christmas lighting this year that shines brighter in the most commercial and busy streets of the city, which "is already fully prepared to live these dates in the way most atypical that is remembered because of the pandemic ".
At his side, the councilor added to what his colleagues on the government team said that "everything that is done in this regard will help promote happiness and avoid the very serious situation we are currently experiencing." The municipal representatives congratulated the Cezanos on Easter, encouraging them to live these endearing dates, always within the time restrictions and the measures established by the health authorities.
In each of the visits they were received by presidents and directors of the respective neighborhood associations.
The places with Christmas motifs are the Partido gardens, the bullring and Santa Clara, the Pr ncipe de Asturias park and the La Casica enclosure in Ascoy.
In the contest the participating associations opt for prizes of 400, 300, 200 and 150 euros.
