During the first week of January we have witnessed a brutal and disproportionate rise in energy, especially gas and electricity.
The socialists of Cieza, we want to make an assessment on the oscillations in the price of energy taking into account the set and the annual values, not simply taking into account a specific and disproportionate event such as the rise to which we are referring Let's go. Between 2018 and 2020, the price of electricity in the wholesale market fell by 40%, which represents an annual saving of 120 E for an average consumer (240 E between 2018 and 2020).
All this has been possible, among other things, thanks to the greater contribution of renewable energies and also to the elimination of the so-called sun tax.
Therefore, the important thing is to assess the price as a whole and see how it behaves throughout the year, and not focus only on specific fluctuations, either up or down.

¦â € ¦..â € ¦34.00 E� Unfortunately, during the first week of January we have witnessed a rise caused in the auctions that have made the price of electricity more expensive, in the absence of renewable energy at the beginning of the year, due to the climate we have had, the high price of CO2 and in view of the greater demand due to the cold wave.
Although the price is still higher than that of 2020, there has already been a reduction of 30% since January 8, which represents a change in the trend and to return to the right direction. Therefore, the Socialists of Cieza believe that the Government of Spain should continue taking measures to continue promoting renewable energy, in order to reduce dependence on CO2, and speed up the creation of the sustainability fund.
� Finally, at the municipal level, there is a clear commitment from the Local Government to meet all the needs in the payment of electricity bills for vulnerable people, which shows that the Local Government does everything it can do in this matter according to its powers.
