The team of trackers made available to Public Health by the City Council of Cieza has grown in terms of the number of components, reinforcing in this way according to municipal sources, and has intensified these days his work in one of the most critical moments of the coronavirus pandemic in the municipality, with record numbers of infected that have been beaten almost every day. These 10 volunteers, mostly municipal officials who have been joined by a retired person and led by Ainoa Lucas Guardiola, have had, since they were put into operation last November, a schedule from 8 a.m.
to 3 p.m.
Monday to Friday.
Currently, faced with a runaway pandemic and data records that show a critical situation regarding the population, they go to their post at the Municipal Social Services Center even on Saturdays and Sundays. The premises of the Social Welfare building of the City Council of Cieza host the daily routine of these men and women who are in charge, every morning, of reviewing the number of positives and immediately starting an investigation procedure to find out what ½ people have been in contact with the newly infected. The aforementioned team received in its day, prior to its work, the necessary training given by a doctor and a nurse from the Department of Public Health of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
This training consisted of the necessary knowledge to handle the IT tools made available, as well as the guidelines and precise knowledge to efficiently carry out this important task of monitoring the infected and contacts of covid- 19. The municipal trackers team is implemented in the body of trackers that Salud Pblica directs and whose main purpose is to find out how many people have been in contact with someone infected and under what conditions this contact was carried out so that the health system can carry out the appropriate diagnostic tests and / or establish the appropriate isolation.
In the same way, they are in charge of carrying out the appropriate monitoring of the people who must be confined. The mayor, Pascual Lucas, has abounded, once again, in the "important effort that the City Council of Cieza makes with this substantial action that joins all that it has been doing throughout the pandemic." In this sense, Lucas has reaffirmed that "now the most important thing is health and, as a consequence, all our efforts are directed towards fighting for the health of all citizens.
There is no better investment than this and That is why we have made all these human and material resources available to Public Health.
It is the most urgent priority and we must direct all our efforts towards this goal.
" This type of collaboration between administrations is aimed at mitigating the effects of the pandemic, since it has been shown that, wherever this type of tracking teams is put in place, efficiency over monitoring, which is essential, noticeably improves.
