The Federal Festival of Song Scout, to be held in Merida weekend of April 29 to May 1 will house more than 2000 scouts who come from different parts of the Spanish territory.
The belonging to our town, scout group San Jorge will be responsible this year to represent the Region of Murcia in the Federal Festival, where they will face groups from other regions so that your song is chosen as favorite.
"The Scout Festival, as the philosophy of Scouting promotes the involvement of young people in building participatory citizenship and commitment to build a better world" tells us Maria Bello, head of communications of the scout group of Cieza.
The scouts and our town participate with their song "You have to be like San Jorge" which won the regional edition of the festival last year.
Both the lyrics and music have been composed of people of the scout group and is a tribute to all people who have gone through this group, on the occasion of its centenary, held in 2015.
Says Maria Bello, "The expedition will travel Merida is formed by most members of the group, a total of 120 people including children and monitors, plus a good number of parents who have decided to join us to support our performance and support us. "
