Councilman Transparency, Miguel Gual, attended last week on behalf of the Municipal Corporation of Cieza to the establishment of the first network of local institutions for transparency and citizen participation, made up of 200 municipalities in Spain network who want to give a step in this commitment will prevent the scourge of corruption.
In the ceremony held in Elche, this group of municipalities, among which is that of Cieza, is committed to lead the change for transparency and show the way forward for the implementation of legislation is not diluted by sloppiness some administrations, "that it does not know how to set it up or unwilling to make the necessary effort."
In this sense, says Miguel Gual that the day that this entity is, are marked as priority objectives to promote policies of transparency in public activity, facilitate the exercise of the right of access to information and strengthen public confidence in the implementation of commitments on good governance, accountability and participation in decision-making.
In another vein, it highlights the finding that the City of Cieza is one of the few that have committed to the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, known as 'Code of Good Governance', which have only acceded 35 municipalities throughout Spain.
"This means that our Consistory, despite its budgetary constraints, being able in this matter to take its commitment to neighbors and stay ahead even knowing that there is much work to be done to achieve true normalization" concludes Gual.
