On Wednesday June 15 this year, members of the association animalistic Garm, lent an application along with a draft motion to the town of Cieza in relation to the collection service contract and accommodation pets abandoned in the municipality
GARM (Animalista Group Murcia), the Collective Animalista Cieza Sacrifice Zero, the ANIMUR Federation, the AUZEC Association, the Humane Association of Molina de Segura (APAMS), the Association Refugees, Animal Dignity Association, the Platform by the Animal Protection (PEPA) and SDARM Association, they submitted a letter Wednesday June 15, stating the following:
In the town of Cieza, Cieza the Humane company has been providing the service of collecting animals for 12 years.
There have been complaints about the way the company manages this service.
Such complaints are related to the bad situation in which animals are collected and the fact that animals are killed facilities.
In other municipalities in the region, such as Molina de Segura, protective charge of this service does not sacrifice, care for animals and seek their adoption and most importantly, have a policy of zero sacrifice.
The President of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia Don Pedro Antonio Sánchez, on a visit to the protector of Molina de Segura, promised that the policy of zero sacrifice would be implemented throughout the Region through reform of the Regional Protection Act and animal welfare, as it did the Government of the Autonomous Community of Madrid.
For all the foregoing GARM and other associations, we ASK:
That the City of Cieza commitment to implement the zero sacrifice in their municipality, in collaboration with animal protection associations and volunteers.
It is updated and modify the bylaw for animal protection.
It is done by the City of Cieza public announcement of the intention to call for tenders of that service contract and subject to public exposure the tender documents defining the administrative and legal, technical and economic aspects that must be secured the provision of service, and understand the criteria applied for the selection of the entity that has to provide it, among all those who are interested in the announcement of the selection procedure.
Cieza that the City Council conduct social programs to promote respect and welfare of animals and the STOP abandonment.
Which lead to the full Consistory jointly by all parties and approved, the example of motion attached to the application.
