Championship Tennis Spain Alevín be held this year in the region.

The Club de Tenis Cieza will host this tournament which takes place from 27 June to 3 July and organized by the Spanish Tennis Federation and the Sports Council, with the collaboration of the Directorate General of Sports in the Community , the Tennis Federation of the Region and the Municipality of Cieza, among other organizations and companies.

A total of 128 players from 11 to 12 years from all over Spain (64 men's and 64 women) will be part of the final picture of this competition, in which 126 singles matches and 60 will be held in the doubles.

This tournament have earned throughout its history the likes of Rafa Nadal, David Ferrer or Garbiñe Muguruza.

The Director General of Sports, Alonso Gómez, today presented the championship by the Councillor for Tourism of the City of Cieza, Antonio Moya;

Vice President of the Tennis Federation of the Region of Murcia, José Alcolea;

President Tennis Club Cieza, Abelardo Pinar, and the delegate of Gas Redexis in the region, Pedro Santos.

Gomez stressed "the importance of organizing tournaments like this that give value grassroots sport, encourage the youth and help bring the sport to children to practice it from small" and was convinced that "some of the young people who see Cieza play these days will become great Spanish professional tennis. "

The championship, added the director, "is included in the Plan of Regional Development as a destination for sports tourism, launched this year by the regional government, an initiative that combines tourism and sport and aims to promote the region as a venue for sports events national and international, throughout the year. "

With nearly 40 years of history, the Club de Tenis Cieza hosts for the first time in its history this Championship Youngsters Spain.

Spanish Tennis LaFederación chose this venue to have all the facilities needed to host an event of this category: 9 tennis courts, fitness center, three swimming pools, pediments, physiotherapy service and various recreational and leisure areas.

In addition, this space has already hosted several competitions and tournaments and has hosted two phases of the ATP circuit.
